Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra CAD Renders Leak: No Front Notch Redesign

If you were hoping for a major physical transformation on Samsung's next premium tablet, you might want to adjust your expectations.

Newly leaked CAD renders shared by OnLeaks and Smartphone Checker have revealed the design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, indicating that almost nothing is changing on the outside.

The tablet maintains its highly debated front-facing camera notch, debunking previous rumors that Samsung would be implementing a seamless edge-to-edge screen redesign.

The leaked physical dimensions of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra stand at 326.3 x 208.5 x 5.1mm. This is identical down to a tenth of a millimeter to its predecessor, suggesting that current cases and keyboard accessories will likely fit the new generation.

Instead of a chassis redesign, Samsung is treating this as a performance refresh year.

The tablet will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and starting at 256GB of storage.

The device is also retaining its predecessor’s 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 11,600mAh battery capacity, and 45W fast-charging speeds.

With the CAD leak occurring now, experts predict the Tab S12 Ultra will skip next week’s Unpacked event and instead debut at IFA in September.
