MediaTek has officially announced the launch date for its next flagship mobile chipset, confirming that the Dimensity 9600 Pro will be unveiled on September 15 at 2:30 PM China time (7:30 AM BST / 2:30 AM EDT).
Positioned as a "pro chip," MediaTek’s announcement via X highlighted major architectural focus areas, including AI-enhanced graphics, upgraded HyperEngine gaming systems, hardware ray tracing, and 4K video recording at 240fps for high-speed slow-motion capture.
While speculation continues around possible standard and Pro Max variants, the Vivo X500 series has been confirmed as one of the first flagship lines to integrate the new processor to challenge Qualcomm’s top-tier offerings.
