Google is working on a series of user interface updates for the Gemini app designed to streamline navigation, notification management, and chat organization.
Code findings from Google app build version 17.52.12 show early stages of these upcoming functional design enhancements.
The updates introduce a separate Pinned section positioned above Recents in the sidebar, a dedicated Notifications bell section for finished tasks and Gemini Briefs, and search filters such as Unread, Ready, Needs attention, and In progress.
Additionally, Google is preparing a dedicated Customize hub for Gemini Spark to help users manage connected skills and apps, alongside an Android notification toggle option to hide Gemini's status bar icon during background operations.
