Lenovo has acknowledged issues affecting select Legion Go handheld gaming units following the release of BIOS version V42 (N3CN42WW).
Reports surfaced online after users experienced unresponsiveness and persistent blank screens during or immediately after applying the firmware update.
In response, Lenovo removed the V42 update file from its official support portals to perform further system validation.
The company clarified that the update was never distributed through Windows Update or Legion Space.
For users encountering blank displays, Lenovo recommends pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds, waiting a minute, and turning the device back on.
If the issue persists, affected owners are advised to reach out to Lenovo Support for technical guidance.
"Lenovo is aware that some Legion Go devices may experience a blank screen during installation of BIOS version V42... Lenovo has removed the update from its support website while we continue our validation work." — Jeff Witt, Lenovo Communications Director
