According to joint statements from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Pokopia—an exclusive release for the Nintendo Switch 2—officially crossed 5 million global physical and digital sales within four months of its early March launch.

The game, which tasks players with controlling the character Ditto to restore virtual environments, has emerged as one of the platform's top-performing titles.

Momentum is expected to continue following the release of the first installment of its paid expansion pass, with additional content drops scheduled through 2027.

Compounding the positive investor sentiment, Nintendo confirmed upcoming distribution plans to officially launch its Switch console ecosystem in Indonesia.

Opening up direct retail and digital infrastructure within Southeast Asia's most populous nation provides a major new growth vector for Nintendo's hardware and software sales moving forward.

"The milestone crossed the 5 million mark in global physical and digital sales just four months after launch, reinforcing strong software adoption on the Switch 2 platform."
