Clicks has announced last-minute hardware upgrades for its highly anticipated Communicator smartphone ahead of its scheduled December 2026 release date.
First revealed earlier this year as a modern nod to classic physical keyboard handsets, the device will now ship with 12GB of RAM—a 50% increase from the originally planned 8GB—and an upgraded 4,350mAh lithium-ion battery.
The company confirmed it transitioned away from experimental silicon-carbon battery cells after internal testing showed higher failure rates during stress tests.
Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with 256GB of expandable storage, the device features a 4.03-inch 120Hz AMOLED display situated above a touch-sensitive physical keyboard that doubles as a navigation touchpad and fingerprint scanner.
Along with the hardware enhancements, Clicks introduced a new accessory portfolio in partnership with Dbrand, an extended protection plan dubbed Clicks Care, and an eSIM cellular connectivity option for US and UK users.
Reservation holders can secure the device for $499 until October 1, after which the retail price will increase to $649.
